NACEP Accreditation Commission Record of Decisions 2017
April 2017
In accordance with NACEP's commitment to public disclosure and the Accreditation Commission's Policy and Procedures Manual, this Record of Decision documents the formal actions taken by the NACEP Accreditation Commission at its spring meeting beginning April 5, 2017, and ending April 13, 2017, with regard to concurrent enrollment programs that applied for NACEP accreditation during the 2016-17 application cycle. Programs Granted Initial Accreditation
The following programs were found to be in compliance with all 17 of NACEP's accreditation standards and were granted initial accreditation for a period of seven academic years:
- Baker College (Flint,MI), Running Start
- College of Western Idaho (Nampa, ID), Dual Credit/College Readiness
- John A. Logan College (Carterville, IL), Dual Credit Program
- Mid Michigan Community College (Harrison, MI), MMCC Off-Campus Program
- Missouri Southern State University (Joplin, MO), MSSU Dual Credit
- Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD), Rising Scholars
- University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg,MO), UCM Dual Credit
To maintain accreditation, these programs are required to continue implementing all practices identified in NACEP's standards and complete an annual report of activities.
Programs Granted Reaccreditation
The following programs currently holding NACEP accreditation were found to be in compliance with all 17 of NACEP's accreditation standards and were granted renewed accreditation for a period of seven academic years:
- Arkansas State University-Beebe (Beebe, AR), Concurrent Enrollment Program
- Arkansas State University – Jonesboro (Jonesboro, AR), A-State Concurrent Program
- Boise State University (Boise, ID), Concurrent Enrollment Program
- Des Moines Area Community College (Ankeny, IA), DMACC Career Advantage
- Monroe Community College (Rochester, NY), Dual Enrollment Program
- National Park College (Hot Springs, AR), Concurrent Enrollment Program
- Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (Helena, AR), Concurrent Enrollment Program
- Southern Arkansas University-Magnolia (Magnolia, AR), Concurrent Enrollment Program
- Southwest Minnesota State University (Marshall, MN), College Now
- SUNY Broome Community College (Binghamton, NY), Fast Forward
- University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (Hope,AR), Your Bridge to College
- University of Arkansas of Little Rock (Little Rock, AR), Concurrent Enrollment Program
To maintain accreditation, these programs are required to continue implementing all practices identified in NACEP's standards and complete an annual report of activities.
Program Granted One-Year Extension
The following program currently holding NACEP accreditation was found to be in compliance with the majority of NACEP's 17 accreditation standards and was granted an extension of the current accreditation term through the end of the 2017-18 academic year with monitoring by the Accreditation Commission:
- Minnesota State University-Mankato (Mankato, MN), Concurrent Enrollment
To earn full reaccreditation, this program must demonstrate significant progress on one or more unmet standards by September 1, 2017, and submit all final evidence demonstrating the consistent implementation of the identified standards by March 1, 2018.
Programs Denied Initial Accreditation
The following programs failed to demonstrate that they are in compliance with all 17 of NACEP's accreditation standards and their applications for initial accreditation was denied:
- College of Southern Nevada (Las Vegas, NV), Jumpstart Dual Credit High School Program
- Florida State College at Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL), Dual Enrollment
Programs Whose Accreditation Term Has Lapsed
In addition to the programs that were denied reaccreditation, the following programs currently holding NACEP accreditation allowed their accreditation to lapse at the end of the 2016-17 academic year:
- Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas (De Queen, AR), CCCUA Concurrent Enrollment Program
- Riverland Community College (Austin,MN), Concurrent Enrollment
Appeals
Within sixty (60) days after receiving notification of an adverse accrediting action, a concurrent enrollment program may request reconsideration of or appeal any decision of the Accreditation Commission.

Commissioners recused themselves from specific votes in accordance with the Commission's conflict of interest policy
