Diversity Statement

The Ohio Alliance of Dual Enrollment Partnerships (OADEP) is committed to supporting equity for all people and the basic human rights of marginalized individuals. Our organization and its members also believe in the importance of working as allies to create real solutions. 

As educators working in various types of institutions (private, public, secondary, 2-year and 4-year), we are intentional about providing access to dual enrollment programming and support to students, educators, and administrators. We consider it our responsibility to lead conversations that not only create positive change, but also lead to action at the State level, in our institutions of higher education, and in our K-12 school systems. 

Our work will be centered on ensuring that all voices are heard and respected,. We will work to negate bias, and provide a framework for support across the state. 

To support these efforts, the Ohio Alliance of Dual Enrollment Partnerships Board has voted to initiate the following initiatives for the 2020-21 membership year: 

• Waive all membership fees for new and continuing members during the 2020-2021 year. 
• Launch a series of interactive, best practice sessions about dual enrollment for educators and administrators focusing on equity, access, and navigating our remote environment. 

We do this to provide greater access to membership for school districts and institutions across Ohio, thereby increasing the level of support delivered across the State. 

The Ohio Alliance of Dual Enrollment Partnerships (OADEP) is governed by their parent organization (The National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships). NACEP’s bylaws support our efforts to create a diverse and fair environment for all.
