What are NACEP PEP Talks?
PEP Talks are a field-focused resource series designed for practitioners interested in advancing equity in their programs. PEP Talks break equity work into smaller, bite-size initiatives to support increasing equitable access and participation in dual and concurrent enrollment. Each PEP Talk is designed with the practitioner in mind and includes a summary of the topic, examples from the field, links to resources, and actionable steps to get started.
OER as a Program Equity Practice
In case you missed it, authors Tanya Grosz (Open Education Network) and Amy Williams (NACEP) presented a session that discussed ways to increase equity by removing the financial barrier for textbook costs through Open Educational Resources (OER). This session made the case for OER as a program equity strategy and provided attendees with actionable steps for using OER to decrease costs for students, districts, and colleges.
