Research on dual credit highlights its potential for expanding access to college and career opportunity for underserved students. And yet, common references to dual credit as ‘programs of privilege’ or ‘random acts of dual credit’ indicate that in many communities these programs have yet to fully realize their potential to advance educational equity. One emerging approach to better realizing this potential is by aligning dual enrollment programs to “guided pathway” (GP) student success reforms which are being implemented by more than 400 colleges and 16 state systems nationally. This webinar will describe how colleges and K-12 schools can work together expand opportunity for their students and build enrollments by extending GP practices to dual credit students. Sobia Khan from the award-winning San Antonio College and the Alamo College District will provide expert guidance on how build guided pathways to success on a large scale in your community.
