Celebrating 40 Years of Student Success: JCCC’s College Now Program Marks a Milestone
April 2, 2025
For 40 years, Johnson County Community College’s College Now dual credit program has provided high school students with a head start on their college education. Since its launch in 1984-1985, the program has empowered thousands of students to earn college credits, gain valuable academic experience, and transition seamlessly into higher education.
On Monday, March 31, Dr. Mallory Mitchell, College Now Program Director, and her colleagues celebrated this milestone by recognizing the educators, students, and community partners who have contributed to its success. The event featured a performance by De Soto High School’s jazz band and a historical slideshow created by College Now students from the Blue Valley School District. Amy Williams, Executive Director of the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP), was the honored guest speaker.
